I often find that the festival could almost pass by unnoticed.
Last thing i really enjoyed was the wierd and atmospheric production of 'The bell' performed in the Wild Park a couple of years back. That was awesome.

What's that? Stephen Grant, at the Komedia, on Wednesday June 12th? An hour of standup from a local award winning comedian? Half the tickets sold already, even though it's almost 8 weeks away? Gosh.

Every year I look forward to the Festival Programme with eager anticipation, expecting to see something musical I would be thrilled to queue up and see. Every year I am bitterly disappointed to see I have barely heard of any of the performers and have no interest in anything, musical or otherwise. Am I some kind of philistine or is it all just pretentious bollocks?
