Can't see another thread yet on this so here goes:-

Brezovan 6 Solid
Calderon 7 Some good runs forward. Fast becoming a big favourite.
Painter 8 Very good and got forward a bit more. Very strong
El Abd 7 Solid
Elphick 8 Dominant performance capped by goal
Navarro 7 Broke play up well. Improving every game
Crofts 7 Looking to get forward more which we needed with only Glenn up
Dicker 8 Superb Goal. Are most creative player
Bennett 7 Quieter than v Charlton
Lua Lua 7 Great 1st half, faded in second. Superb with ball at feet but final product a little lacking. Fantastic to watch and hope we can keep him longer
Murray 7 Never stopped working. So different form a few months back

Holroyd 6 Like the look of him. Keeps ball very well for a relatively slight build
Hart 6

Generally v good performance let down a bit by allowing Exeter a little back into the game after the second goal although I appreciate this was partly down to them throwing strikers on to chase the game.

Brezovan - 7 - did what he had to do well

Calderon - 7 - Solid, did well
Elphick - 9 - Outstanding, won absolutely everything in the air and played some lovely passes
El-Abd - 8 - did well
Painter - 7 - Same as Inigo

Bennett - 8 - Great set pieces and looked a threat
Crofts - 7 - Did the simple stuff well and broke up play well as usual
Dicker - 8 - Awesome goal and a decent display
Navarro - 6 - Broke up play well but was sloppy a few times
Lua Lua - 8 - Super 1'st half, nothing second, not his fault though.

Murray - 7 - Did ok, needs a goal to break his Withdean hoodoo

Holroyd - 7 - Intelligent little player that lad
Hart - 6 - Got stuck in well and had a few decent runs.

Brezovan 6 - May seem a bit harsh but the combination of Exeter being very poor and the defence playing very well meant that he couldn't really shine.

Painter 6 - Didn't really notice him much to be honest

El Abd 8 - Well I don't give a shit what antone else thinks, I think he played a blinder today and has come on leaps & bounds under Poyet.

Elphick 8 - Same as above really, an excellent game with some important tackles & imterceptions

Calderon 7.5 - Good game from the spaniad again, dealt with everything Exeter had to offer. Could and maybe should have scored when he didn't quite connect from 15 yards in the 2nd half

Lua Lua 7.5 - If this guy had a better final ball he would be worth millions. Had a great 1st half. Faded in the 2nd half but not surprising considering the amount of ball he saw in the 1st half.

Dicker 8 - Brilliant performance and IMO quite rightly voted MOM. It wasn't just his goal, his all round play was excellent today both when we had the ball and when we didn't. With performances like that I wouildn't be surprised to see an international recall.

Navarro 7 - Quietly effective. I really like the way he disposses players, more often than not he will regain possesion rather than conceding throw ins like a lot of players would.

Crofts 6.5 - Not his best game ever but did nothing wrong and always puts in 110% effort.

Bennett 7 - A decent game from Bennett, he was the quieter of the 2 wingers but still posed Exeter a few problems

Murray 7 - For a game we dominated it was surprising that Glenn didn't get too many chances. Obviously didn't get on the scoresheet but always looked like he might. Couple of unlikely bounces when with a bit more luck he would have been in.

Ref - Not going to give him a score but he did seem to be a bit of a homer, not complaining though!!

Must say that the way we try and play the ball out of defence and use the keeper as an extra defender in those situations means to me that Brez is definitely Poyets 1st choice.

Brezovan 6 - did what he had to
Calderon 7 - him and bennett had a good understanding of each other.
Painter 8 - best i've seen him play so far, got stuck in.
El Abd 6 - did what he had to, would prefer virgo there when back as seems to have better understanding with elphick but still solid
Elphick 8 - very good game for him, hopefully people will give him the credit he deserves after this match.. (M.O.M)
Navarro 7 - got lost now and then but generally won the ball when he needed to and covered well for others
Crofts 6 - not a great game for him, seen him look a lot better but still did the basics well
Dicker 8 - unbelievable strike, good game for him.
Bennett 7 - covered calderon well when he went forward and had a general good game
Lua Lua 7 - beat every man as per usual and class acceleration and at turning on the pace, no final product... haven't seen him put 1 good ball in the box yet, but still key in our side cus of his pace.
Murray - 7 - played well, done a lot of running, didnt look as dangerous as normal though

Holroyd 6 - one for the future, may not of hit the onion bag yet but he looks very intelligent and dangerous, just needs a clear cut chance to set him off...
Hart 6 - did what was asked of him.

Brezovan - ? - No shots on target. Enough said.

Calderon - 7 - Loves getting forward, and defends just as well.
Elphick - 8 - Dealt with everything well, and nice header for the opener.
El-Abd - 7 - Similar to Elphick, just without the goal.
Painter - 7 - I really rate him, and he is getting better and better.

Bennett - 8 - Getting back to the same Bennett from the start of the season. Plenty of pace, and nice corner for the goal.
Crofts - 7 - Worked hard, with decent distribution.
Dicker - 8 - Typical Dicker performance, and what a goal.
Navarro - 6 - Weak link in the midfield, but still decent enough.
Lua Lua - 7 - Was great in the 1st half, faded in the second. Poor final touch lets him down.

Murray - 6 - Ran around and chased it down a lot. Fed off scraps.

Because I am really sad, i have put all of the ratings given for every game into a spreadsheet, so i can work out roughly who is playing the best (As i am exiled and can't get to many games)

From the average rating over the season so far, and of players who have had 15 games or more with 20 mins on the pitch or more - who do you think would be the top three?

well technically the standard rating should be 5.5, which naturally you may round up to 6, possibly why that has become the standard.

Brezovan 6 - All this talk of not being able to rate him is daft. His kicking was good, he took a touch when he had to and stayed calm, which I know is very important for him. One dodgy moment from a corner at the start of the second half, where he got nowhere the cross and took Murray's head off (which Murray rightly had a word with him about!).
Calderon 8 - When defending, he's between the defence and midfield, looking to intercept a pass rather than track the winger which could be dangerous, but when he's on song then he knows where to be and he's looking CLASS. Fans favourite already!
Painter 8 - Someone didn't notice him! Seriously. Defensively he won everything, he set up a few attacks with intelligent passing. Nothing got through him, he was absolutely magnificent.
Elphick 9 - Yeah, that's right, he gets a 9. Headed everything. Tackled everyone. Got everything bar one or two long passes right and his distribution was very literally the best I've seen from him. Short little passes to Navarro and El-Abd next to him show he is still maturing.
El-Abd 7 - Defensively absolutely brilliant. He let Elphick go and challenge for everything in the air, which is his strength, and covered in behind. Got in to good positions and put in a few brilliant tackles. El-Abd with confidence, and without much pressure from the opponents, is a very able defender but for me, still not good enough to be a regular first pick.
Navarro 6/7 - I thought he did alot of things very well, but alot of other things very badly. Some of his passing was crap, some of it was sublime. Whatever you think of his individual performance today, being left to play in the deep lying central midfield role is getting the best from him because he has the space to do what he does and doesn't have Dicker and Crofts to battle with. 4-5-1 gets the best from Navarro who is an important player in this system.
Dicker 8 - I've always liked him, he can pass a ball, he can dribble, he can tackle. He is the complete central midfielder and Poyet is spot on for changing the system to incorporate his 3 excellent central midfielders. Quality goal, and hopefully he'll get a few more now.
Crofts 7 - Did little which mattered, he let others grab the spotlight and the attention whilst doing what he is best at, putting in tackles and getting involved all over the pitch. Seems to be playing deeper than when Poyet first got here and he was scoring so many goals, which is a shame because I'd love to see him bombing on from midfield with EVERY attack, not like today where he occaisonally got into the box but wasn't found with the delivery.
Bennett 6 - I thought he was a little bit off today. A few moments of skill and, obviously, a brilliant delivery from the corner. But in general, he wasn't in the game and didn't offer much of a threat.
LuaLua 8 - Loved the stupidity of Exeter, 3-5-2 against a team with 2 good wingers?! Suicide stuipidty. Brilliant in the first half, Tully had no answer. How many times did Tully get raped and then stare at the ground shaking his head?! Brilliant to watch, but his end product wasn't brilliant. Though, you can't expect perfection from the chap, as Poyet said, that's why he's at Brighton. With any luck, we'll snap him up in the summer and then we'll have one hell of a player on our hands!
Murray 8 - Genius. Shame he didn't score at Withdean, again, but did pretty much everything else. Real class, and he'll be critical in our promotion push next season.

Subs;
Hart 6 - Great to see him getting games, he is more than worth it and he's still got alot to offer us. Better player than some people think, and I'm glad he's still here and still getting games. Shame his shot toward the end got blocked, if he could score then he'd be off again.
Holroyd 6 - I think he looks good, and I can understand why Forster is so annoyed at the moment. I think we've found ourselves a player potentially capable of doing for us what Forster has done. He's got a decent touch, he's got the pace and if he can get scoring, he'll be a cracking player.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game.
