Best vans I´ve bought & I´ve bought at least 8 from there was Black Bushe auctions on a Thursday. Look up BCA ( British car auctions
Expect to pay approx 2 k for a good ex fleet like local authority or utilities with 50 ish mileage.
Lots of dealers picking up vehicles here & adding at least 50% so as long as you keep your calm head on you´ll be ok

My work van at the moment is a Citroen C4 Commercial - but I don't think its sold in the UK. Probably the best ride quality you're ever going to get out of something with the load size it has, has cruise control by default, AC is an option. And its weirdly indestructable for a Citroen - never needed more than the normal servicing for 191k at this stage.

The new (2007+) Sevel Eurovan is pretty decent too. Citroen Despatch, Fiat Scudo, Peugeot Expert are what its sold as.

I got a Vauxhall Combo from the 'Bushe' serveral years ago it only had 25k on the clock ex Homeserve van with built in sat nav i saved nearly 2k on the forecort price and havent had a single problem with it since i got it so highly recomend trying an auction unless you'd rather pay over the odds a garage would charge?!
Also had a Renault kangoo for a short time before this, again never had a problem with that.
