James, Hart & Green simply have to be the three keepers that go to the WC, I honestly think that James will have the gloves barring accidents, simply for experience reasons.

I do reckon James is the obvious choice.

But if he doesn't leave Pompey in January and Hart continues to play as he is, i can see Hart maybe nicking his place.

Green as backup, but avoid sticking him in.

I voted Green but I could just as easily have voted for James, Robinson or Hart.

I haven't seen enough of Hart to justify voting for him, (One or two great games don't make a great keeper!), but he could be the best of the lot.

I wouldn't like to be in Capello's shoes in picking the No. 1 because you know that, whoever you choose, there will be doubts, and fears of cock-ups. I suppose you just have to hope that one of those cock-ups doesn't cost you a match.

I really hope James gets fit and soon and starts playing for Pompey til the end of the season, he has the experience and if were to have any chance of winning the world cup you need to have a keeper whos been there and done it. Once the world cup is over then put Joe Hart for the start of the qualifers for Euro 2012.

James
Hart
Green

imo the 3 keepers to go to the world cup

Should be Robinson by a long stretch at the moment and who suggested Almunia as (a) Capello has said that he will not play a naturalised player over an Englishman (b) he is nowwhere near good enough.

At the moment i'd say David James based on his experience.

However, if Green, Robinson and / or Hart can keep up their form they have every chance of challenging for the starting spot.

However, I think that the lack of England games between now and the World Cup and his lack of international experience will count against Hart and may cost him a space in the squad, meaning that we take James, Robinson and Green instead.
