I also feel that we need a captain on the park who will shout and ball at his men ......AKA Sir Danny Cullip.

I know which one I would listen too.........

For me a captain is the manager's messenger or mouth piece, I cannot see the 'beard' pinning any of our players up against a wall at half time or even shouting and swearing at his men. during the game....more excuse me would you mind awfully if you didn't do that. Mr virgo is too much of a nice guy for me....sorry, we need a complete change.......Do we have anybody in our squad who is a natural leader !!

Your thoughts or have i got it wrong

Crofts for me, seems to have an edge to him and the other players seem to have respect for him.

i agree i was thinking dicker but would it affect his game? we need one player who is mature enough and knows the game to get us going. Crofts best for me but not even sure on him.

Virgo is a useless captain who is ill-disciplined as well.

Given the current lot I would give it back to Forster.

I would bring in an experienced central defender and make him captain, somebody like Linvoy Primus from Pompey.

Your logic defies belief at times:

How could we afford the wages of a Premiersh1te player ?

Why would they want to move down two divisions ?

I would say just useless.

He is 34 years old nearing the end of his career and doesnt figure in the Pompey 1st team squad very often so may be looking to finish his career at a lower club that he could cope with for another 2 years, so wouldnt expect to get premiershite wages

Crofts would be aan excellent choice. He did the job at Gillingham I believe, and has established himself as a first team player now.

Give it to Crofts.
