From Wikipedia. I'm sure that odious little runt's level of commitment to a far smaller third division club would be far greater, of course.

"After the death of Sir Bobby Robson, The Sun's Bob Harris wrote how Robson told him: "My biggest disappointment was Dennis Wise, a director of football who was hardly seen at the ground, and who brought in players who were neither suitable, nor right, for Newcastle United. I forgive most people, but I am not sure I can forgive Wise for what he did to my club.""

Sir Bobby for the Albion job?

We'd need to employ Derek Acorah as his number two ...

Seriously, anyone thinking that a foul, thuggish, already-rich little walking Napoleon complex like Dennis Wise landing OUR manager's job on the sole basis that he's a Cockney geezery card-playing mate of Tony Bloom's would be a Good Thing needs their bloody head examined. IMHO.

I don't give a shit how much money the chairman's got and how much thereby everything becomes his call: he has responsibilities too.

Danny Baker once referred to Wise as the sort of person who would lurk behind the school bully spitting on the ground from between his front teeth.

The Toon Army named him 'Rat Face'.

I'm sure his mother likes him though.

I dunno, I think it might be fun watching us sign a couple of Mexicans just because Wise needs to do 'a favour' for an agent.

You know what, having thought about Wise a lot more since last night's chat with Harty, I am worried he will be appointed.

When he bailed out from Leeds to join Newcastle, he claimed it was because he'd only have to spend a few days a week in the Toon and could work from home in London for the rest, it meant he could be with his family that didn't move to Leeds when he was incharge there.

Now, of course, Brighton is easily commutable from London, and thus would be an appealing job for little Dennis.

Worthing
Amongst golfers parlance when you have a tricky short putt, is 'I've got a denis wise'

i.e. a horrible little 5 footer.

Why does everybody seem to hate Dennis Wise?

The mere mention of him seems to bring on an outburst of tourettes.

Can someone please present me with a reasoned; rational;intelligent and non abusive argument as to why he should or shouldn't get the job.

Ignoring his nasty aggressive demeanour both as a player and since, I think a lot of it is down to his comviction for assault, and for breaking his [SLEEPING] team-mate's jaw, etc...

No - mentioning Wise brings out the worst language in people.

I hope to God that he gets nowhere near our club as he will drag it down into the gutter with him.
