i have stupidly agreed to take my mates kid brother to the palace match today. Shouldn't be too bad as i will be in the disabled section but still. Anyone care to offer any advise on how to survive such an ordeal?

What the hell were you thinking of man? Of greater concern than your deserved 90 minutes of purgatory are the facts that you seemingly have a mate who supports Palace (arguably unavoidable if you will live in Croydon I suppose) and secondly that he is passing on his filthy habit to an innocent child.

You have a mate whos kid brother supports Palarse ............ :glare:

Its your fault you should have done the normal background checks like the rest of us, casual mates maybe. Ones where theres a possiablity of being nice and being caught out at the same time NO !!

No!

This could easily be called a football related crime and could lead to a Falmer banning order!

Wear the stripes and bring a Radio with headphones, or preferably a loud speaker so the scum (palace fans, not the disabled) can here our glorious boys putting a shed load of goals past Carlisle.

Try to 'reprogramme' him during the match, this is the ONLY solution. I suggest a constant stream of head shaking, put downs, general sarcasticness and piss taking of all things Palace (shouldn't be difficult), whilst bigging up Brighton our support, team, new stadium, better disabled viewing facilities etc.

Even if you don't succeed, it will help to distract you from the 'football' and your surroundings.

Best of luck, I don't envy you.

thank you for the tips. I will be following the brighton match on the internet and will be on hand to post updates of scunthorpe's demolition of the palace. A 3 nil win for scunny and a 3 nil win for the seagulls will make the whole ordeal more bearable.

I am currently converting the middle brother but it pains me to say this little oik is too far gone, he's a massive palace fan. I think the middle brother is begining to see sense though so all is not lost. It's a bit like care in the community, today espeicially!

You want a tip?

Do NOT advertise that fact on a forum where Palarse (closet Brighton) fans lurk.

There'll be more Albion fans heading up to Selhurst if this continues...
