Good Country Pub for Dinner Tonight..

Parents suggested going for a pub meal tonight somewhere out in the sticks...

Now I live in Portslade, and don't want to go a million miles out of my way, but anywhere from Steyning to Lewes would be fine.

I don't want anything too fancy and possibly the chance to sit outside would be nice.

Its just what makes this site so f***ing unpleasureable at the moment. There is absolutely no reason for it whatsoever. Das Reich is one of the worst but the site is inhabited with too many of these serial abusers imo. Just ban all of them.

Tottington Manor is great...I'd always recommend the Old Tollgate in Bramber

Also the Shepherd and Dog at Fulking, always used to be good. And I understand that Whites (?) in Steyning is also not bad. If you go a little further afield, try the Sportsman at Amberley, or the Rising Sun at Nutbourne.

The view at Tottington Manor is wonderful and the food is great. A decent menu starting at £ 9 a head going to £ 20 a head tops for the top nosh. Its probably 15 minutes from Portslade.

To be fair it's more enjoyable than hearing about someones road being dug up or what grades their child got in their 11 plus.
