Agree with 14th. Most of Bloom's cash will being going into the stadium. The quote is that Slade has a healthy budget by league one standards so I don't expect us to go out and spunk vast sums of money on anyone. I hope that the prudent approach instilled by Knight remains as the last thing we want is to get into financial trouble like so many other clubs.

Bloom has been bankrolling the club for years so id be supprised if we saw a massive change in the playing side of things, including the budget.

Its obvious there will be money to spend, Slade wouldnt have got rid of 14 players if he wasnt guaranteed money to spend in the Summer, but I doubt we will be breaking our transfer budget for anyone!

Pork pie land.
Now we have some money, we have a great chance to invest in "prospects", bring them on, and cash-in when the next ones are ready. That is the only way clubs like the Albion will ever be profitable - and we all get to see some good players develop, like we have with Mark Lawrenson, Bobby Zamora, Peter Ward, and many more over the years, instead of home-grown rubbish like Robinson, Fraser, etc., etc..

Or maybe, just maybe, the money will stretch to the Club developing an academy to benefit the talented young players from Sussex, instead of them all being grabbed by the big London clubs etc..

Hope we agreed a fee with Stockport's administrators for Dicker before this news broke, otherwise they might ask for a bigger fee.

This question is to me the most important seeing as I already thought the funding was in place.

What does a healthy budget by L1 standards mean ? That has to mean 2 million do you think ?

I was thinking the same, what is a league 1 budget in real money ?

League 1 budget could be anything between Leeds and Stockports budget, he did not say Championship budget (Although if we're honest here for the last two seasons we have had more money than we did in the Championship.)
