At least he's got Liverpool close to United this season. As Arsenal seem to have stumbled and who knows wtf is going on with Chelsea I would have thought people could ENJOY a team running Unitd close, or do you all want them to walk the league every year.
I find the bitterness towards Benitez a bit sad, he's been good for Liverpool whether you like it or not. Funny that Wenger gets the same shit..maybe you're all racists or closet United fans?

A few of those games they drew are ones where they were losing until very late on, and got injury time equalisers. Illustrates their determination and spirit, perhaps, but maybe not their ability to dominate games?

Nothing to do with Benitez or United really, I just have a lifelong, irrational loathing of Liverpool FC and find it unfailingly amusing when they lose, whoever it's to.

Expect Ferguson to say pretty well EXACTLY the same as Benitez has when Barca beat them, whilst having a moan about being cheated and tapping his watch hoping for 15 mins of extra time if they are losing at 90

I know they want the Champions League, but something tells me that the ONE thing that's been really driving Ferguson in recent years is equalling Liverpool's record of League titles won- which I believe United will draw level with this season assuming nothing catastrophic happens in the next two games. When he started, they were way behind, nobody could touch the Scousers, but now he's done it, more or less. I honestly believe if you asked Fergie at the start of this season if he'd rather win the League or the Champions League, on this occasion he'd have gone for the League.
One interesting point this raises is that, in making the point that United have equalled Liverpool's record, SkySports will, for once, have to acknowledge the existence of top flight football before 1992. And here's me thinking 1992 represented the year dot.

Benitez is just making himself look stupid. Football is quite simple - the team that scores most goals wins the game; the team that gets most points wins the division. Nothing else counts. Remember when we overhauled Reading in 2002 and they were bleating about being the better team - what a joke.
Although the real culrits are the media who seem to think any half-baked comment by anyone to do with the Premiership is more worthy of coverage than real, proper football matches. I'm waiting for in-depth coverage of the Liverpool tea-lady saying that their tea is better than Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal's getting more coverage than, say, the Div 2 play-off final before much longer.

Thats the main reason for me, Im sick of kids being brought up to support the best teams and Man Ure are the worst culprits for this

I see just as many Liverpool "fans" in shirts (I dont try to disagree with you honestly)
I dont see how people seem to think its OK to support Pool down here and Man Utd fans get shit for it?
I Dont think its ok, but I see more Man ure shirts than I do Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal.
