Suspected as having ankle ligament damage.

If I am right in thinking that could keep him out for the rest of the season

So if Hinshelwood, Hawkins and Elphick are all out who will play centre back with El-Abd, McNulty, with Livermore left back?

Whing moved inside today, maybe that would be the way forward. I don't want Hawkins anywhere near that back 4, even when he recovers, we've got enough problems as it is! :lolol:

Seriously, I'm more worried about the legend that is Jimmy Mac, do we know what's wrong with him yet? Is it a knee injury, that's what it looked like to me from the south stand.

I don't subscribe to the Elphick love-in that frequents this board, but I'm very worried if he's out and we are intending to replace him with Hinshelwood or Hawkins. Elphick has his weaknesses that most people seem to ignore, but he is at least strong and reasonably dependable. You certainly saw the difference between him and Hinshelwood in the first half today.

but apart from Kuipers you don't seem to rate any of our players so thanks for your view but you are wrong, at this level he is a quality centre half maybe not going to be premiership quality but then neither are we

It's common knowledge that's he's consistently top of the hoof ball charts.

Wonder if Mr.McNulty can have a quiet word ?

Went to hospital with a bruised kidney.

Bruised kidney? Thanks for the news mr Taylor, do you happen to know how long we'll be without him for? He looks a class act to me, and to everyone!

It depend on what the damage is. If the ligaments have just a mild strain then only a couple of weeks but more serious damage could be a couple of months.

It happened just in front of me and it looked like his ribs, right side, he appearred to be having trouble breathing so would suspect a broken or cracked rib but I am not a doctor or at all medically qualified so dont take it as gospel.

Impossible to say, probably depends on how bad the bruising is.

That's my problem with Elphick. His hoofing basically gives the ball to the opposition every time he has it. Purely as a defender though he's probably better than anyone else we have bar Virgo. Not as good as people make out, but he's pretty solid and not someone I'd want to lose at this stage.

Agreed.

With everyone fit I think our best CB pairing is definitely Elphick & Virgo . Throw in Winghy and super Jimmy Mack and that's a defence that any League One side would be pleased with I'd say.

Agreed, allthough on today's performance I would of given MOM to El-Abd. Maybe I was seeing things, but I thought he had a good game
