I'm putting together a list of Albion home and away kits from 1975-2009. Why? Because I want to! Also, because I wish to redress the fact the otherwise excellent True Colours books, chronicling kit designs of British league and international sides, do not cover Brighton & Hove Albion, so I'm going to take matters in my (our?) own hands, and share with you the results...

While http://www.brightonandhovealbion-shirts.co.uk/id3.html and http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Brighton_and_Hove_Albion/Brighton_and_Hove_Albion.htm cover most of the territory, I've wondered if anyone knew the away kits from 1983 - 1989

Here are some of the gaps filled....
1975-76

Was green really our main away kit colour?!! This still is from teh hereford game when Peter Ward scored his first goal for us.

1983-86

1987-89
?????

Any corrections to the kit designs or dates of the kits very welcome....

Your avatar reminded me of songs recorded by or about the club.

In the 70s, a "one man band" recorded a song called Seagulls. We had a copy, but long lost.

It was knocking about the web years ago, but again long gone.

The Albion can get along (?)
Bring back the goodies to Goldstone Ground, get moving
Yeah come on the lads, get moving
Place to go, teams to meet
Look at that football, ain't it sweet

Etc.. anyone still got a copy ?

1983- 1985 was a white shirt with thin red and blue pinstripes with the Phoenix Brewery logo, made by adidas. The kit for 1985-1986 was the same as the red Nobo one, but with the Phoenix brewery logo.

we had a solid blue Bukta shirt in the late 70s - very much like the yellow one in design but blue and white colourway

Thank you! I never knew we had a solid blue shirt before the adidas days....

was it usually worn with white shorts and blue socks?

A friend of mine who does house clearances came across one a few years back and let me have it, so yes, I have a copy.

I have 'In Brighton' coming in the post after buying it off ebay. Is yours in a 'full colour picture bag'?

Here is the glorious advert:

If anyone has 'In Brighton' and 'Goldstone Rap' as mp3s, I'd be very interested!
