Put the Portsmouth V Milan game on Chan 5 on and see how to support your team at home. 20,000 sounding like 60,000. No booing. All clapping all around the ground young and old, and I bet not to many will leave to get their buses before the end.
1) They have a compact stadium, easy to generate an atmosphere
2) It is a night game, even our atmosphere improves during evening matches
3) It is the Uefa Cup
4) They are playing AC Milan
5) They are playing well
Any team would generate that kind of support in the same situation.

They're playing Milan in Europe you f***ing clown. We're getting beaten by rubbish like Stockport and Hartlepool.
I assure you if we were in their shoes we'd be giving similar support.

Perhaps if the players gave the fans something to shout about?... It works both ways you know... Especially when you bear in mind WE pay their wages when we go to games, they DON'T pay for us to go to games.Of course it is a big game and no need for the insult. However, perhaps if we got behind our team we might not be losing as many games as we have. We don't give our players confidence. We take it away.

Let's not forget they are all inbreds. Would any of us honestly trade a place in the UEFA Cup for a life of drug abuse and incest? I think not.
I went to see Pompey v. Stoke courtesy of Barclays recently, and the Pompey fans do this really weird thing where they clap about two or three times, but in TOTAL unison, like it's been going on for years. Sounds really great...
Also, at Fulham v. Spurs recently, again courtesy of Barclays, the Fulham fans beat their programmes against their hands, again in TOTAL unison, again like it's a major tradition
I wonder what we can come up with at Falmer?
