The problem that the Bond films have created for themselves is the bar is set so high it is almost impossible to achieve a Casino Royale every time. The fact of the matter is an average Bond film is still miles better than pratically any other film.

I enjoyed QoS, having been thrilled by Casino Royale previously. Having read 3 of the books and understood the Bond character Fleming created I think Daniel Craig's portrayal is more faithful to Fleming's man than any of the other Bonds.

On the downside the opening actiion sequences practically killed my eyes and I was only sitting halfway back. Tip for anyone going - sit near the back.

Whilst Roger Moore's gags and Q's gadgets look cheesy this film goes too far the other way, and I hope in the next movie Bond lightens up and there is more humour, more romance and one or two more gadgets.

I saw this last week, I've always believed a Bond film is as good as the main villain.

Greene is UTTER CRAP and so was the film.

Well if you are going to use the lead singer from British Sea Power as your main villian, don't expect the standard to be too high...

I saw it last night, and agree with a lot of what's been said.

Craig's Bond is a lot darker and meaner, with fewer jokes and they seem determined to portray him as fundamentally damaged in some way rather than in any sense a hero.

I don't even particularly have a problem with that - but the storyline/plot, which let's face it doesn't need to be the best in these films, is even by Bond standards very weak in this one.

On the plus side - Olga.

Wasnt QoS the first Bond film that wasnt a book? And also the first 'Sequal'?

I enjoyed all the action scenes but I couldnt tell you anymore than a basic jist of what the story was!

I think they tried to shoe-horn people in from the last film to make sense of the two films interlocking with each other.

Morale of this story? DONT do a Bond sequal!

It was the title of a short story Ian Fleming wrote, but bore little resemblance to it.

Also, From Russia With Love follows on in a way from Dr No and Diamonds are Forever begins with Bond hunting down Blofeld for murdering his wife in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Quantum of Solace was very weak IMO but then I wasn't as wowed with Casino Royale as most other people were.

Just been and thought it was OK but as stated very thin plot line.

I like him as Bond, very mean and nasty

I stand corrected
