This is third person they have sent around in the last 3 months. It's the usual bullshit they come out with on the door. It's usually starts off with

According to our records you are paying too much for your gas or electricity?

or

Mr (x) from over the road has just switched to us for his gas and electricity? Would you also like to save money?

I'm all for saving money, however do you really save money by switching. I just see it as complete hassle.
Somewhere along the line there is bound to be a cock up.

You don't always get the best deal by using these as they are switching sites and get paid commision when you change.
The best company are Utility Warehouse as mentioned in October edition of the Which magazine which offer the following services:Gas,Electric,Home Phone,Broadband,Mobile Phones and a cashback card!
If anyone is interested in saving money then pm me and i will give you more info.;)

I've had gas, electric and phone people banging on my door in the past month. They might be the cheapest now but who knows in 2 months time or whatever. I prefer to leave things as they are unless there is a really obvious reason for changing. Especially as the last time I tried to switch elec they confused things with an old cable so the elec didnt actually get switched and I started paying a new company whilst the old still supplied the power. It took about 6 months, numerous red-letters from the old company for failure to pay, a lot of agro and the threat of court action before the power company realised their cock-up. I was promised a seamless transition.

I wouldn't give any of them my time and yes sometimes it is cheaper to switch but usually only for a short time then your bills go through the roof! So you might aswell stayed with the original company!

If anyone is seriously interested in saving money on your utilities as around 99% of the uk is paying too much then read the Which magazine Oct edition and they will give you a clue on who to go with!

Have you noticed a lot of the companys are trying to tie you into contacts at the moment wether it be energy, phone or broadband!

That must of been a nightmare for you Tubthumper and probably put you off switching again but dont as the transition is smooth and easy just depends on who you took it out with!
