Abort, retry, fail
I was too dehydrated to produce any tears for the Crewe game, after the outrageous drinking session at Lords. Definitely the Palace 3-2 reverse, I was convinced we were on for the double for much of that game and our bragging rights only lasted one month.

0-5 palace

From the first corner after a couple of minutes that Kuipers flapped at and missed, it just felt like it was going to be a bad afternoon.

That home defeat to Darlo in 1996.

*shudder*

Was that the evening game just before the end of Case's reign when a large number of fans gathered at the entrance to the Goldstone after the game? If so that was the nadir of supporting the Albion for me

That Darlo game was truly horrible. You left feeling we were definitely going to be relegated to non-league, probably going out of business, and just a general overwhelming, miserable sense of how far we had fallen.

I'd also give an honourable mention in this category to the home defeat by Sudbury in the FA Cup. And Kingstonian away wasn't too clever either.

BHA 0 - 4 Walton and Hersham

I normally stay to the bitter end even when the Albion are total shite, but I left this debacle after the third goal.

The next home game we lost 2 - 8 to Bristol Rovers.

Blackpool at home final game of the season in 78. A rumour had gone around that Spurs were losing at the Dell and promotion to Division 1 was ours, the empty feeling at the final whistle was as deep as I have ever felt at an Albion game.

In more recent times it would be the 0-0 draw against Darlington at Priestfield
