I'll probably watch it but the thing that gets me about England friendlies is on the few occasions when we do get off to a good start the players take their foot off the gas and drop a gear or two.

Anyone paying to watch the game is entitled to expect full commitment from the players, but the reality is the players want to do JUST enought to win. The frustration is compounded by seeing the opposition, whoever they may be, raise their game because they're playing at Wembley.

Heading to Wembley central on the direct train from Brighton, so will be there from about 4.30pm if you want to meet for a beer.

May well do. Where you going to be? JJ Moons?

Is your mobile number still the same?

Missing Andorra as got a mates wedding, but booked up for Croatia, Belarus and Berlin, so 3 away games in 3 months! My credit card is in meltdown!!! Only doing a day trip for Croatia but have 4 nights in Minsk and a couple of days in Berlin! You venturing out??????

Yes, thought I'd ease my way back in to the England away scene and have ended up doing all of them!

Barcelona, heading out for the weekend (myself, Tubs and Hams).
Croatia, flying to Ljubljana (or however you spell it?) getting the train on to Zagreb. Night in Zagreb, then back to Ljubljana for a night before coming home. (on my Jack)
Belarus we are flying to Kanous (again no idea how it's spelt) and training it across, night Minsk before training back (myself, Pocket Rocket).
Germany we are flying to Hannover and training it in to Berlin, stopping a night in Berlin. (myself, Pocket Rocket +1, Tubs)

Did you manage to get a visa for Belarus before the prices went up (£19 - £63, now that's inflation!!)?

I stopped caring after the Croatia match.

Something that evening disappeared for me - and I have nothing but
contempt for those bunch of overpaid, under-achieving, tosse*s.

How many other countries can draw 60,000-70,000 for a meanginless friendly against average opposition ? We had 72,000 there for the USA last May.

I'll be watching. Its a night down the pub innit - beats Corrie.

I am not sure it does beat Corrie actually.

I have actually HATE the England team and all the players bar a couple. I am amazed 65000 or prepared to go and watch that absolute pap. It would be great if about 4000 turned up and the ego's of Terry and Lampard would take a massive dive realising that no one actually give a shit anymore. Also having Capello in charge means dour defensive football for another 4 years until we fail at World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012 when he will be sacked.

I hope they lose.

My mate knows the groundsman who says the centre circle is waterlogged. There will be a pitch inspection so the game may not go ahead :jester:
