Good choice Easy, but surely Titanic was worse :jester:

I never understand the bile directed at that film. I didn't go *mental* over it at the time it came out (where you had people gushing about seeing it twice a day for three weeks etc), but it IS a well made film, with what were at the time groundbreaking special effects.

And you get a nudey bit as well.

What was the DROSS called, with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise doing their very best OIRISH accents, as settlers in the America? 'Into the West'? Was that it? If it was, it was SHITHOUSE.

But by CHRIST he was good in True Romance though wasn't he. Forgotten what an epic movie that was

Slater has had a wide and varied career. From the heights of True Romance and Heathers, to the lows of Alone in the Dark and Broken Arrow.

I quite like him as an actor, but he's about as selective as Di Niro when it comes to doing a film. The guy will do ANY old shit.

De Niro will dress up as a woman now ( Stardust ) and play a transvestite for a buck. shame as his best work were searing performances in Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Cape Fear, on the top of his career there was no one better. Now Pacino pisses all over him as does Bale come to that.

Possibly not but it was superb. For me a worst film is if it is dross all the way through. For Pearl Harbor the 40 minute attack means it could never be considered for worst film of all time.

Although I have never seen it and do not want to see it Hard Candy. I have done research on this and it backs up my feeling that the film does the almost impossible job of making the audience feel sorry for a Paedophile and ends up rooting for a Paedophile. The castration is a new low in cinema and what mesage does it send out, Pyscho 14 year old girl who is clearly mentally unbalanced takes law into her own hands. The topic was much better presented in The Woodsman.

US, when you throw strops over people criticising films and then go all Daily Mail and criticise a film you've never seen you're kinda laying yourslef open to ridicule

Pesrl Harbor for 40 minutes was one of the greatest films of all time. The 2nd greatest depiction of battle after Saving Private Ryan.

If you like battles get hold of Taegukgi hwinalrimyeo (Brotherhood). It's a Korean war movie that blows Saving Private Ryan out of the water. Especially considering it cost about a 5th of what Saving Private Ryan did.

Getting back on topic Going Overboard staring Adam Sandler has to be the worst movie I've ever been subjected too. Poor script, stupid storyline, badly filmed. The very fact that when making it the crew forgot to bring the correct lenses for the cameras should have been a signal to stop before they'd even started.

Now you see, I quite liked that. It was a bit of a shame it turned out to be a monster though, it looked far more sinister in that huge trenchcoat chopping things up. I wanted it to be some kind of deformed MANIAC instead.
Built up some good tension at the start when he runs them off the road.

Boxing Helena - the only film I've ever considered walking out on

Went to see it when on a course in Bracknell with a couple of workmates. We all sat through it, then at the end we all said we'd have left part way through if we weren't with the others.

As I said Icy, this slagging off of Titanic is tiresome and boring, its as if all the fanboys have wanted to ruin it, mainly 20 or 30 something men, it is infact a very good film with Watershed effects and a decent enough storyline, meticulously researcged and authentic to 1912, all the critics gave it 5 stars at the time as people flooded to the cinema to see it , becuase it was good, for some strange reason it is now trendy to say it is shit.

Could not agree more, how anyone can say it is the WORST film of all time is beyond me. It may be soppy or wet (no pun intended) but some of the effects are/were awesome and as you say everyone at the time was raving about it.
