Man City play in the Faroe Islands in the UEFA cup.

The official trip is being run by Thomas Cook (club sponsor and also official travel agent of the FA).

A 2 day trip is from £885 per person!!!! Ouch!

I thought this would be about the Ronaldinho rumour. Apparently they offered him £200k a week and he still turned them down, the former genius buck-toothed porker.

I think it was Ally McCoist who told a story about checking in at Glasgie airport when Scotland were playing the Faroes away for the first time and one of the younger members of the squad had only packed T-shirts and shorts because he thought the Faroes were next to Egypt...

The downside of that 200k a week would be that he'd have to leave Barcelona and live in Manchester.

On top of that they've got to find the bus fare to Barnsley where the return leg is being played .... due to the relaying of the pitch at the city of Manchester stadium ....

Have you been to Manchester recently?

Whilst I am sure it is not in Barcelona’s league as one of Europes must visit places (seemingly), it is these days a thoroughly decent cosmopolitan city with loads of good places to visit.

I went once about 4 years ago, and you'd have to offer me at least 200k for me to even think about going back. :)

On a related note, I found OT to be very over-rated as a stadium.

I concur, China Town is more than acceptable as a place to visit...as is Rusholme for the curry mile.
