Interesting article in the Evening Standard yesterday.

Despite all the spouting about how big CPFC are and how they aren't even in teh same league as Brighton (literally and metaphorically) the team most Palace fans list as their "most hated" is Brighton by some margin.

Every other club in London has a genuinely local London rival, but CPFC still cling to their dislike of us. Think that says more about their attitude to the Seagulls than anything this nobber has to say.

Its all about age though isn't it? Surveys can be misleading in a lot of respects, if for example they asked 50 Palace fans over 35 then the vast majority would say they dislike Brighton. However if they asked the same amount under the age of 30 then Millwall or Charlton would be the answer i suspect.

Of course - I was just making a point about this guys over-interest in what he purports to be a lower form of life.

Your point is supported by the data (as I recall it). Most hated by Palace was 34% (Brighton). Other teams supporters were much more concentrated on one team with their "most hated" side getting 60-70% of the votes.
