What interference though? I can only think of ONE *possible* example with Dick purchasing Turienzo on a recommendation from various people.

So why did Dick go back to Hammond and Savage with several improved contracts?

Turienzo not a good enough example then?

Turienzo not a good enough example then?

Well, you are likening Dick to Abramovich or that chap at Hearts who picks the team.

Turienzo was a huge balls up, but I thought you were referring to a number of examples. I would be far more concerned if Dick had refused to purchase a player that the manager wanted (if we could afford him) rather than foisting a lame donkey from Argentina upon him.

For those of you who think that DK is perfect, what evidence do you have that he doesn't put his over-sized oar into the assessment of players when he is no more expert than you or I?

That is a ridiculous statement.

I have no idea if he is perfect or not - that's why I don't say he is. I have no idea what his involvement is or isn't in the signing of players.

Do you? And if you do, please tell us.

And what is the 'over-sized oar' bit about? I don't understand what you mean. As chairman and part-owner of the club, he is fully entitled to have his say in everything that happens in the club, just like anyone in his position in any business.

Falmer, soon...
Is it so hard to believe that the albion work together as a team to try and secure contracts on our existing and potential players?

I've always just assumed it was a collaborative approach within the scope of our budgets.

Saying this, I'd also like to think that we've been scouting for years and if we hear one of our targets is potentially available for what we'd consider to be a very decent price, we'd see if we could come up with some way of securing that target.

This sort of setup would seem to make good business sense to me...

Potential stalker alert....does El Abd drive a red convertible saloon car? If so I saw him with the top down whizzing around Goring earlier today. Not sure that this has anything to do with the thread but...

El Abd could really screw himself over, if he's not careful. The offer won't sit there forever.

Adam El Abd is not even all that good. I would withdraw the offer with immediate affect and terminate his contract. There are loads of better players out there. He appears to have lost the plot.

Are you MENTAL?
el-Abd's actually our best player, not 'king's new clothes' fashionable like el-Phick.
Elph's good, but all this SHITE I've read on here with people extolling his virtues and saying he's going to be bought by some Prem or Championship club for millions any minute - it's garbage and gibberish, as he's just okay and has a way to go before he's that outstanding.

AeA is mustard, and some spackers on here need to GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
