I enjoyed it.

Low budget, Brighton features a lot, but is shown very much from a seedy underbelly point of view.

London Prozzie rescues child from pimp gang. Violence in abundance, tart with a heart type deal.

Worth a watch but hardly Brighton Rock.

It is worth watching for sure.

No, that's not the one. The one I remember was definitely black and white, definitely London to Brighton in 4 minutes and I'm pretty sure the train didn't stop (except at Brighton, obviously).

It's there on YouTube, if only I knew how to get it on here :dunce:

I didn't rate it that highly. Had it's moments but never felt like a film to me.

Red Road was a British film that came out at the same time and that for me was better. Also pretty depressing but more subtle and filmic.

I've just seen this film (it seemed ideal after completing the London to Brighton ride) and was very impressed. There are a couple of holes in the plot but this was a really promising debut feature. Well worth watching ... but definitely not on a first date.

I've been racking my brains to think where that house is - the view from the door shows it opening on to a park but I can't think which one it could be.

Mona Lisa is better.

Which isn't saying much imho ;)

Movietastic Trivia - Georgia Groome, who plays the girl in London to Brighton, has the lead in Angus Thongs, which is set in Eastbourne (and filmed around both Brighton and Eastbourne).

Mona Lisa is better.

But Mona Lisa had a decent budget and some big name actors in it (and Lester Freamon from The Wire). London to Brighton was made for £80,000 and displays more verve and style than dozens of big-budget films.
