I personally think this is the best decision the club and DK have ever made, now that we have the stadium in place. No disrespect to Dean Wilkins who has done a fantastic job considering the circumstances, but lets face it as much as he is a brilliant coach, he lacks man management skills, and his inexperience in management, and decisions on the pitch came through several times during the season.

I want Dean to stay as team coach, and with Mickey at the helm this club will DEFINITELY go places over the next few years, mark my words.

Great to see you back Mickey, and please stay Dean.
Championship here we come.

Micky Adams is quoted as saying he will get us into the Championship by 2011. This is not hugely ambitious and at least a year after Wilkins would have done.

Gutted that i am about how Wilkins has been treated - mainly as he was one of my fav players - it's about the best possible alternative. Like i said earlier - it feels a bit like your mate has been shot, on the same day you win the lottery.

At the end of the day, i always think it's hard to knock a manager who leaves us in a better position than from when he took over... and I think we are in a better position now than 20 months ago...

Dick knight you have just lost all my admiration for you this is so wrong.

I really hope Dean stays but if i were him i would stick one on Knight and anyone else who was involved in this stupid decision.

Alan Mullery at Albion, Malcolm Allison at Man City and Terry Venables at Palace are just three managers who had disastrous second spells at a club. Micky Adams will not be another such manager. He is the right man for this club at this time.

I've always said Micky Adams is a legend. Had he returned at any other time I would have been over the moon. I'm also a big fan of DK, and always have been.

However, I'm just in shock. Wilkins has done a great job this season. It seems to me we had the perfect combination of young, promising "Brighton through and through" manager bringing his young players into the team- both he and the players would mature as we reach Falmer.

Many experienced players have left the club expressing bad feelings this year (Savage, O'Callaghan et.c) but I have only heard them speak well of Wilkins. Reid was exception this week but he was only complaining about the way he was let go and the reasons for it, not directly questioning Wilkins as a manager.

This only makes sense to me if there were strains in the relationship between DK and Wilkins-and I suspect this was the case.

Will this decision look the right one in five years' time?
