Well it is if you live in the Offington ward of Worthing Borough Council. The Lib Dem candidate there is a lady called Patricia Izod. She's a hard-working, intelligent woman with a razor-sharp mind and buckets of common sense. She's also a Brighton fan (favourite player Gary Hart) who was in favour of Falmer. She's also my Mum!

a) Lib Dems have absolutely NO chance of winning Offington. They don't bother counting the Tory vote there, they weigh it.

b) If it's still Graham (?) Fabes who's the Tory councillor there then he's also an Albion fan and a bloody nice bloke. I went to school with his son so know the family (although haven't seen them in donkey's years).

Much better than that prat McCarthy who used to live in Offington and I also went to school with.

PS - What year were you at Durrington ('School houses' thread)? My mum was a teacher there when Cable-Robbie was headmaster - but I don't think her name was Izod then!
