Is it just me, or is the men's section full of over-priced, dubious designs for men possessing absolutely no imagination? £18 for a frickin t-shirt! And the less said about their £25 polo shirt designs the better.

At least in H&M you know what you're getting for your £3.99 - a t-shirt that will shrink, bobble and never sit right on your shoulders because they've stiched the arms on wrong, fantastic!

You are right. I do not want to spend £35 on a pair of combat shorts that have a crease ironed into them and feel like they are made of cardboard.

Next clothes always look like they're for over 40s trying to look younger

Speaking as one of the demographic you mention, you wouldn't catch me in Next except maybe for nicks & socks, although M&S are better for those even.

Reiss is the place, love it.

Never heard of it? Get yourself down to East St my man. Quality threads but I must admit a bit pricey. Zara is ok of course.......Churchill Sq by the way!

Ta. I'll take a look....although not sure I should be taking clothing advice from someone who buys his smalls in M&S! ;) Primark stretchy trunks are the dogs at £2.50 each :p

Zara jeans are good, although £19 in the sale is preferable to the £35+ regular price.

Way out west
I picked up a very nice blue and white stripey Peter Werth shirt recently from TK Maxx, cost me just less than £20 which was half the makers recommended price on the ticket...bargain!

Absolutely! £18 is an absolute bargain. Out of interest, what would you consider expensive for a t-shirt?

tricky question really. if i really liked the t shirt and it was a quality make etc then £60 quid no problem . i think if that same t shirt started to get up to £70/80 then even if i loved it the price may put me off

Good god! You guys must be earning a pretty penny to think that!

I would generally not pay more than £10-12 for a t-shirt, unless it was one I really wanted. Shirts (as in casual) I would not pay more than £25 for. Jeans about the same (might be pushed to £30). I do most of my shopping in the sales!

I like a lot of the clothes in Next, but I very rarely buy anything in there as they never have sales on! Much prefer Burtons myself.

Went to H and M for the first time recently and was VERY impressed, got a hoody for £15. I usually shop at Topman, which is expensive and has some absolute bollocks, but also sometimes has sales.

dont shop in there for myself but they do very good/fashionable baby clothes at very good prices

I couldn't justify or afford spending £60 on a T-shirt. I'm not sure I would even if I had the money. I'm just jealous !
