I Hope Wilkins Bans The Players From Here

This site is for people to post opinions for the ten years I've been on it - so I can't see the bitching and moaning slowing now after a frankly rubbish performance like that was.

And yes, Dean Wilkins DOES suggest that players not get embroiled in the commentary on here - but like was said above, he can't stop them from it.

Fact is, it was his job to instill a sense of urgency into the players regarding this game, and I knew that he made them 'aware' of the angles before today.
That they did NOT manifest any urgency about it from the kick-off is a mystery he alone will have to take up with the squad. They looked far from urgent, closer to lackadaisical in reality.

And like i said some of the players will react to this positively and some negatively the question is which way do the team go from here?

To say they lacked urgency is spot on lacksidasical is a bit strong from what little i saw. If Port Vale had played like that all season i very much doubt they would even be in the bottom half of the table.

Where can you see us finishing now then?

what do you suggest then? pretend that today was superb just so we dont harm the egos of players whose wages we pay? or when we win convicingly, dont praise the team incase it makes them overconfident and complacent?

if you cant take criticism, then professional footballer is probably the least suited career for you. this is a FANS message board for FANS to discuss the game - if any players are expecting to look tonight and not see them being slated then they are obviously lacking in intelligence

If you went to anyother form of live entertainment (play, opera, ballet, comedian or gig) you would be very pissed off it was of todays poor quality but more importantly if the performers made as little effort as was shown today, you would at very least expect your money back. Why should these little preciouses be protected from the feelings of the audience.

Some of the comments on here are taking the piss a bit!!!!!!!!

What i suggest is be realistic about it and not start the this person out this person is shit why did we sign threads after one bad defeat.

We are a much improved team after last season. We lost all the momentum around christmas or we would be much higher.

See now if he does get to read this that's going to do his confidence the world of good :tosser:

If he gets that upset if he reads how shit he played today....(not for the first time), he,ll either "up" his game in response, or hopefully, clear off to a non-league side...(about County League standard) where he would be appreciated.

Anyway, I thought you were a steward...paid to keep control of the crowds....not spend your time, just watching the fooball.

Same place I thought we'd finish some weeks ago - just out of the playoffs.

I made that judgement as soon as the final whistle blew, and the 3 points were blown at Cheltenham. Orient, at ours, only cemented my conviction I'm afraid.

If I was a player who knows what NSC is like, I'd be keeping well away anyway!

I hope Dean Wilkins bans the players from this site for the forseeable future!

All the negative comments on here are gonna have a further negative effect on the team.

YES i agree we didn't play at all well today but what good is all the bitching going to do?

Big game Tuesday! Probably the make or break game for the playoffs and if i was a player i would be fu**ing fuming after reading some of the utter crap that has been posted on here today!!

That is all.

:albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2:

Play-off chance has gone mate. Yada yada all you like, but it changes nothing

And if you bothered to read the post i put that says what little i saw you would know that i am only going on a small portion of the match that i actually could see properly.

So if you had a really bad day in your job would you expect to be hounded by your customers wanting you sacked?

Got to agree with you now will be VERY lucky if we do hit top six and i think it will take a lot of other teams results to go our way.

What about next season?

In your OPINION.

That,s what a messageboard enables us to do....express our OPINIONS.

In my OPINION, Thomson was shit......and has been the 5 or 6 times I,ve seen him play.

Yes....I would.

One other thing though - the look on Wilkins face at half and full times, suggest that he wasn't exactly there congratulating the players. If they survived whatever he had to say to them in the dressing room, then I'm sure they can handle what a few people on NSC say! They ought to be agreeing with us too.

Some of them would use this constructively but a few would lose too much sleep imo.

One player i spoke to after just looked like he wanted to give up and crawl under a rock.

I wonder if Wilkins has cancelled their day off tomorrow and has them back in training?
