I still can't quite get my head round your way of thinking. The games I have seen, he has done his job and been fairly reliable. No frills, but dependable. Not having a great deal of experience in English football and being in and out of the team and in diffferent positions, I would have expected worse, but he has been solid. I would, personally, sign him on, but then football is a game of opinions.

Yeah, Martot has been an absolute disgrace.
I think the Bertin comment is the only comment to be of a positive nature from you since I have been a member of this board.
Football is about opinions and imho Martot has not had one decent game for us and hasnt contributed anything
and apart from Loft is the easiest player at the club to replace. He is certainly not a patch on the player Seb Carole was for us.

That's rather akin to saying that Adam El-Abd is not a patch on the player Bobby Zamora was for us - they're not even remotely the same kind of player, so to compare them is ridiculous (unless you're doing it on the basis that one French player directly comparable to another French player solely on the basis of their nationality, of course).
Martot isn't a flashy, quick winger as Carole was/is, I see him as more of a solid, dependable central midfielder who can play out wide if required to do so, and has popped up to put the ball in the net a couple of times this season as well.
If he's available to us on a permanent basis next season then I say sign him up, even if only as a squad player, because I think we could certainly do a whole lot worse, and given the financial situation, probably not a whole lot better.

Most times Martot has been played wide on either the left or right as did Carole, he has failed to impress me. On the odd occassion that he has played in central midfield I thought that he was very weak and did not offer as much as Fraser, Cox or Reid could have so my view is let him go back to France. For a team wishing to win this division next season he is not good enough.

I was impressed with the way that Racon slotted straight into the team and formation, looking just like he was a regular Albion player - TOP marks for that alone!
His distribution was excellent, and he remained un-flustered by his marker throughout.
This midfield really doesn't have anyone outstanding on their own - except maybe Cox - so it's important that they be formidable as a unit instead.
We will always suffer for el-Abd's absence in my opinion, but injuries are to be expected at this part of the season (usually before now, but we've been fortunate).
Hinshelwood told me himself today, that he could be back for the start of next season, by the way.
