No, what I meant was, if you have my username and password you could easily change it to a different password, hence "stealing" my account.

I was being light hearted, but evidently you took it the wrong way.

Have you considered contacting Valve? If you bought it by credit card they can usually assign it back to you.

Alternatively, go in to GAME, and read the serial out of the inside of one of the open boxes
