After Saturday's last minute demise, it reminded me of a game against Spurs in late 70's or early 80s where we were outplayed for 89 minutes heading for a 1-0 defeat, when Eric Potts got 2 bizarre goals in the last minute. Both were from way out the right wing. Anyone else remember that? - or is it a figment of my deranged memory?

It was in our almost promotion season - the one where Southampton and Spurs contrived a draw to deny us 3rd place.

All I can remember about Eric Potts was that he had ginger hair and was about 5' 6" tall. Used to be quite speedy. Didn't we sign him from Sheffield Wednesday ?

Yes, yes it was
Was that the game where the Spurs fans in the Northeast Terrace got out and overwhelmed us in the North Stand ? If so , me and Karen along with several hundred fans we escorted by the Police and St Johns Ambulance down to the South Stand.

Spurs fans invaded the North Stand having first tried to breajk down the gates to the East Terrace.

fans spilled onto the pitch and fighting broke out

It started within the North Stand, as Spurs had already infiltrated there on the quiet.

But a little after they made themselves known a group of Older Brighton, it was the Bosun ( Pub in West Street ), came and gained back control.

I know we cant condone such behaviour, but as a 12year old it was kinda scary but extremely exciting !!

I got so annoyed at our home game. I have never forgiven the yiddo and scummer bastards for that!!!

Yes....some Spurs fans scarpered back into the east terrace where they were met by some very unfriendly Brighton fans.
