just got back and i have never been so gutted about loosing. We deserved allot more!! new bloke looks good apart from the comical first shot in the warm up when he hit it over the stand. As you can imagine ironic cheers of "what a waste of money". Good performance, goal maybe should of counted! keeper was man of match, that says something...............................keep the faith!

while you can blame the officials, it was our inept marking at the back that allowed there guy a header. same thing happened in the second half and we lucky not to concede, thats what sparked the kuipers v el abd argument as as far as i could tell it was el abds man on both occasions

we didnt do much in the first half, and elders performance left a lot to be desired. he missed an open goal from a yard down the opposite end, and it was difficult to see how as he slid in and only had to make contact with the ball

yet again the midfield was annonymous, and this meant we spent most of the time either knocking the ball between the defenders or launching it long. the new guy looked very good when he came on, seems to have a footballing brain and seems to do a fair bit outside the box which will hopefully allow forster to get inside and poach some more goals

overall not a game we deserved to lose, just sloppy marking and some inept refereeing cost us. lots of individual mistakes again though that had the crowd frustrated at times. if we were serious about pushing for the play offs that is the sort of game we should be looking to win though, which is the most concerning thing

Too often we knock it long because there are no midfield options.

In that case signing another striker was a good move?

Hope Dixon isn't the last signing in the window. We need that midfielder.

we need a pacey, creative left winger as the final part of the puzzle

push cox back to the right with martot and robinson as options, robinson can strike as well

backup for kuipers possibly needed as he reaches the yellow card limit but give Sullivan a go or get someone in on loan (flinders?)

Move along please, this is no place to be talking sense. Are you sure you have the right messageboard?

We deserved something from the game, played well in my opinion and created a few decent chances

Elder is CLEARLY not up to this level, a clumsy Bas Savage and another miss in the 6 yard box

Murray is looking QUALITY already, composed, great vision and movement off the ball, and won loads of headers, and put loads of effort and running in. The warm up drill was brilliant when he sent his first shot crashing in off the underside of the stand

Thomson had a bit of a dodge game, but put some great passes in

Cox CANNOT play left wing anymore, he looked dangerous but could have but some dangerous crosses in if he had confidence to use his left foot

Kuipers and Richards - what DICKHEADS fighting each other and getting booked

Reid didnt do much in the middle of the park

El-Abd f*** OFF, what is with the 78 long hoofs to the left wing high in the air to Cox. His fault for not marking the defender to score, dodgy back passes, toblerone head, and why pull you shorts up so high!!

Richards almost made a fatal mistake on the halfway line, but did brilliantly to recover.

Whing, a class above us still

Forster didnt really get a sniff, just one chance in the 1st half which he blazed over

What Mendoza said, but to emphasize, Cox, what is wrong with his left foot? It's like he is banned form letting the ball touch it. Every time he received the ball down the left he ran with it for a bit, only using his right foot, then stop, turn back, and hey, suprise suprise, pass it back. With his right foot. He is 100% terrified of letteing the ball touch his left foot. Not a great idea, when he is on the left wing. Surely something the training ground should be dealing with.

also couldnt see it as we were at the other end of the pitch
but........

how close was Elder to getting the ball that flashed across the goal line??

and

when Forsters short came off the under side of the bar was it close to crossing the line??
