No idea who this guy is or how good he is but it 'sounds' like the type of signing we should be making. Okay, we could do with a quality winger (although you could argue that Reid, Fraser, Richards or Rents could all 'do a job'), but the simple facts are that central midfield is the most important position in football. If you get that right you're almost there.

Of course, if Hammond goes then a replacement is a must so either way i'm happy.

I would like to see Fraser given a decent run in his natural position, but this does show the club are fearful of Hammond leaving...

Signing a player from Rochdale and then possibly from Cheaterfield reminds me of when we signed Brian Horton for 35k everybody said who the f...ing hell is he but we soon found out. Hope the new ones prove the point also.

This is a Kilmarnock supporters view....

Notes: A young Peter Leven starred in the TV programme 'Blue Heaven' which revolved around the Rangers FC youth players. He was released by the Glasgow club after having to undergo two years on the sidelines following knee reconstruction surgery but was given a chance to resurrect his career at Kilmarnock by Jim Jefferies. Overweight and toiling at first after such a set back he was given a short-term contract until the end of December to prove his worth and that he did in spades. Peter proved that he still has an appetite for the game and even played his way back into the Scotland Under 21 set-up...a two and a half year contract extension at Killie duly followed. Naturally left sided, Peter can play as an attacking full back or in midfield, but without a doubt he excels in the latter. Leven has the ability to put his foot on the ball and dictate play from the central area and on form can have a huge influence on results.

According to BBC SCR our bid turned down

I can't believe it. When is Dick Tight going to realise that the only way we're going to stay in this division is by spending some money. It's about time he let the moths out and opened those bloody purse strings. Without some serious investment we are positively DOOMED. When will he realise that saying 'I have chased this man and that man' is not enough and we need some actual players?

:censored::censored:;)

THere's bound to be brinkmanship on all these deals. Don't expect any definite movement in the Revell, Leven, Hammond stories until Thursday afternoon.

The Revell one is different to the other two, as he's not out of contract so we don't need to blink. Unless they make a very attractive offer, I'm sure DW is happy to keep him here in the squad.

If 175k + Comes in I think Dean might accept

I think that sort of figure would indeed count as a 'very attractive offer', yes.
