Flinders hints at Albion return

Scott Flinders revealed today that he could return to Albion on loan.
The Crystal Palace goalkeeper, frustrated by a lack of first team opportunities at Selhurst Park, is keen on another temporary move if he gets the green light from manager Neil Warnock.
Flinders, 22, made 12 League appearances during a successful two-month loan stint with the Seagulls towards the end of last season.
advertisementHe has played only twice for Palace this term, at Bristol Rovers in the Carling Cup at the beginning of the campaign and in last Saturday's FA Cup exit at Watford.
Albion have been looking for goalkeeping competition for Michel Kuipers since the summer.
Flinders, asked if he is coming back, said: "I might be, I might not be. I'm not sure yet, things are not ironed out. We will just have to wait and see.
"My main concern at the moment is Crystal Palace but, if the manager will let me go on loan, I'd be happy to go anywhere.
"I played in the FA Cup at Watford but opportunities have been limited this season.
"I enjoyed my time at Brighton. I made some good friends and the manager was really great with me."
Albion have also been linked with Reading striker Simon Cox but they may be put off by the £200,000 asking price and he is expected to sign for League One rivals Swindon, where he has been on loan.
The Seagulls' hopes of re-signing Matt Richards on loan during the January transfer window have been put on hold by a chest infection which forced the left-back to pull out of a reserve match for Ipswich this week.
Richards has not had any concrete offers to go elsewhere and he said: "There is a good possibility I may be coming back if they still want me."
Assistant manager Dean White confirmed on The Argus website yesterday Albion's interest in Rochdale striker Glenn Murray.
"He is one of several players we've looked at," White said. "That is as far as it has gone."
However, Rochdale manager Keith Hill has cast doubt over Albion's prospects of landing Murray after they made a verbal enquiry about the asking price.
Hill said: "Selling him to Brighton is not a consideration for me. They were a long way away from what we deem him to be worth.
"Glenn wants to score goals for Rochdale and help us achieve our aims. He is from Carlisle and this weekend he will be up there visiting family.
"Brighton is a million miles away from Glenn's home. Every player has his price and Glenn has his own ambitions and we have spoken about that this week but he'll be available for Wednesday, (Chesterfield away) no question in my mind."
