Just watched one of the clip style programmes where they show live clips that have gone wrong.

Anyway, I have looked on You Tube, and other bits on the web, and I cannot find the clip where Fred Dinenage is interviewing Jimmy Melia and a blond topless lass moves into camera shot. The interview is apparently before the 1983 semi final. Does anyone have this clip for all to share?

No, but I was watching when Fred Dineage made a mistake live on air and followed the words "Laurie McMenemy" with "Pillock", the man was in the studio and in shot at the time, to say he looked surprised is an understatement.

Might be wrong but believe I met her, before she was famous, in Sherrys. I believe she was working for Hanningtons at the time.

As I say, could be wrong but this very nice girl, called Jane, was very friendly and pleasent and a smile that you don't forget, which is why I think it was the same girl who went on to be a top model.

Jane Warner could be the one. Bare in mind she was on the screen for only a couple of seconds, but long enough for Dinnage to be very flustered.

Moving off Jane Warner (sadly), does anybody remember the real 'L!VE TV' channel, sponsored by the Daily Mirror?

I think it was supposed to be serious but was so underfunded that, in the end, it could only turn to naffness.

This was the station that brought us Topless darts, Rusty Goff the bouncing weather man and news Bunny.

There was also a rather raunchy 'problems' show in which the presenter blushed througout whilst some dodgy sex therapist answered questions, and we also had the painted ladies, 10 mins of pure art where 2 topless girls would rub paint all over themselves.

They broadcast from Canary Wharf and their greatest coup was during the bombing there. The 2 news presenters didn't know what to do. one wanted to go to ads and the other said you can't do that, this is real news! In the end, they had to leave the studio and the cameras stayed on, just looking out into the London streets.

It was parodied in KYTV, another fine show worth repeating.
