I have to say it was one of the most morbid pieces of telly I've ever watched.

He was not funny to me. I just don't get it. I was never insulted or outraged. Just morbidly curious.

Also what a couple of pricks Arthur Brown and that other bloke was. "don't you think comedians have a responsibility to their audience?"

What? Get your finger out your arse you pretentious twat. Comedians owe nobody any duty or responsibility. We, the audience take care of our own repsonsibilities. If it's funny we'll laugh. If it's excruciatingly dull as Bernard's racist twaddle of a routine was then I'll walk.

If he had stuck to the odd mother-in-law joke he would have been fine. His delivery was second to none. Just a shame about the material.

The man admitted he was a racist and that as long as people kept paying their ten quid to see him he would give them the jokes they wanted.

The clips of him moaning in the car about muslims sitting in the bus-stop and foreigners in the next car was telling.

He was a racist who made his money by making other racists laugh.

He was racist, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't funny. Laughing at racist jokes doesn't necessarily make you racist either, as far as I'm concerned everyone, including us, is fair game. These days we are in the strange situation where you are allowed to tell racist jokes as long as it's about your own ethnic background.
