These were the correct words , the reason it doesn't rhyme with North Stand is because other clubs used to sing North Bank where they had just terracing (without a roof) behind the goal.

the only fans in the south were usually the Bosun boys.

Those who stood in the South Stand mainly came from Haywards Heath, Lancing Monk & Crabtree, Clifton Worthing, Hollingbury & Burgess Hill.

Only the nutters went in the South Stand to stand alongside the Bosun Boys. I remember that for some matches the South Stand was allocated to away fans only but there was still some infiltration. The south east corner of the Chicken Run was sometimes used , before away fans went into the North East terrace cage.

I don't know if you remember but before away fans were put in the North East corner for a while they were put in the South East end of the 'chicken run' down by the South Stand. Some of us stopped going in the North Stand and went in the South Stand instead to be a bit closer to our 'guests'. A specific South Stand song went:
