No thanks, I'll wait until there is a 'singing' home stand at falmer.... one where we can stand up occasionally without getting shouted down by the fookin moaners you get in the South stand........ One we should call the north Stand, even if it isn't in the North of the ground.

didn't your mum tell you not to interrupt when grown ups are talking?

Just being mischievous.

:p

It is frustrating. We have proved that we can make noise on occasions, yet Withdean is now a library.

Whenever the old bill came in to the North Stand to chuck someone out.

As they come in

*loud chanting of the Laurel and Hardy music with a surge*

As they went out

Old McDonald had a farm ei aye ei aye oh
And on that farm he had some PIGS ei aye ei aye oh
With a nick nick here and a nick nick there...

Last month, he apparently applied for a judicial review of the parole board's failure to consider his case, now he's served 40 years. He's 70 years old now.

What tne does that get sung to LB and what has it to do with the Albion?

nice - but not the right colour for the Bukta shirt...?

It looked more like the real thing at the mobile club shop on Saturday - I could be wrong though. Clever use of the mini seagulls on the arms rather than the original Bukta logo (that looked a bit like the seagull logo anyway!)

I don't know if you remember but before away fans were put in the North East corner for a while they were put in the South East end of the 'chicken run' down by the South Stand. Some of us stopped going in the North Stand and went in the South Stand instead to be a bit closer to our 'guests'. A specific South Stand song went:

Nye nye nye nye
South Stand Republican Army
Where ever we go
We fight the foe
'Cos we are the SSRA

:lolol: I nearly commented on the exceptionally harsh nature of the fabric but wondered if I'd remembered correctly! It's hard to describe as nothing would be made of such a texture nowadays but it was ROUGH

I had a long sleeved one...

I used to like the ritual "West Stand, West Stand Give Us a Song" sung at times of triumph...

I always imagined them to be mainly rich businessmen smoking cigars for some reason - they didn't really approve of the North Stand but would usually respond with "Seagulls, Seagulls" and then get a cheer back

I always imagined me Grandad in the West Stand, if we got them to do a Seagulls, Seagulls...we would return with a "Woooooo!"

You had to me a real man to wear one of those, they used to leave an imprint of the fabric on your elbows

the only fans in the south were usually the Bosun boys.

Those who stood in the South Stand mainly came from Haywards Heath, Lancing Monk & Crabtree, Clifton Worthing, Hollingbury & Burgess Hill.
