Listen we have the best asbestos in the world. Do we have.. we don’t have fig.. no figures on that but it’s the best.

I think I’m right? I’m right that if you breathe in cigarette smoke it the uh, the harmful stuff in the asbstos, and it’s harmful. Very dangerous stuff. Boy! I don’t.. you don’t want to..you know.. jeez. But doctors say, I’m not sure which doctors but? I’m right. No, I’m right. Doctors say breathing the uh, if you breathe in the cigarettes that can cure the asbestos lungs. Right? I think I read.. a doctor said that. I wasn’t there but they said that and so we can do that. We can get the schools built and we can uh, that’ll make that happen. So fast. We are going to use the asbestos and uh, just incredibly fastly build the uh hospitals with that. So fast. Quick.

Erm, you blame Trump and then quote an article that says it's massive ongoing situation for years.

Yes, but the nail in the coffin is truly the immigration policy of both Trump administrations. Why couldn't Trump recognize that he was putting companies out of business instead of bringing businesses home to America? Isn't that what he said the tariffs would do?

Actually read the whole article.

Demographic trends are quietly forcing companies’ hands. The rural U.S. workforce has shrunk from over 30 million in 2010 to 28 million by 2023. At the same time, the over-65 population grew by more than 2 million. That’s fewer workers supporting more dependents, all while trying to sustain a labor-intensive manufacturing base. In short, the math doesn’t work. Younger workers are leaving, and aging populations remain.

As if we needed another example of Trump's utter moral bankruptcy here's his level of empathy for the shocking assassination of a Minnesota State Senator and spouse and the attempted assassination of another state senator and spouse by a politically motivated gunman and his resulting words of comfort for the state Governor and colleagues. Yeah that's right, because the governor of that state is Democratic former VP candidate Tim Walz, Trump has refused to call him and has instead chosen to insult him to the press. This is who Americans voted for to lead their nation.

Coca-Cola Closes US Factory and Fires Everyone

More bad news for workers – Coca-Cola is closing down another factory and firing all 135 people who work there.

As if high food prices, food shortages, stubbornly high unemployment, and trade wars weren’t enough already!

This one’s especially heartbreaking because it marks the end of an era for Coca-Cola…

Another plant closing. This certainly isn't helping the American economy.

Meanwhile in New York another sudden arrest of a Democratic official a few days after the arrest of Senator Padilla in California, for the crime of asking an awkward question at an awkward time, this time New York Mayoral candidate and serving City Comptroller (chief accountant) Brad Lander and the question was "can I see your judicial warrant?" to an ICE agent in respect of an immigrant with whom Lander was walking from immigration court. The authoritarian playbook is getting increasingly well-thumbed.

The Guardian: New York City mayoral candidate Brad Lander arrested at immigration court

They are claiming he assaulted law enforcement, but watch the Bluesky video which shows it from the start and see if you can find an assault from Mr Lander. He may have touched an ICE officer's arm while the immigrant and he were moving in a bundle down the corridor?
