FKN idiot.

Didnt he also do the paper straw EO in one of the first weeks he was in the WH?
That was the paper straw EO - I was making a reference to it in the context of Trump dropping a pile of paper that was the Trade Agreement - he doesn’t do ‘paper’ very well.

Too subtle 🤗

Had to laugh, was skimming through Twitter yesterday and came across several negative references to Starmer and the current government. I know most of the accounts are either trolls or sub trolls but it really is a funny read sometimes. The amount of people wading in after the initial criticism of Starmer with comments such as " The most corrupt government ever !" or " Most Corrupt PM ever " " Worst PM EVER ! FACT ! " was stunning., of course all these comments were presented without evidence or facts.

Starmer can't hold a candle to Trump let alone Johnson. Trump even flaunts the evidence of his own corruption and revels in it. It used to be a Presidential tradition to step away from any business involvements while elected but Trump actually uses his office to gain money. The example I thought was the most egregious was charging his Secret Service detail more to stay at Mar-a-Largo than the rate for normal guests.
At least Starmer's short speech had some substance, not just waffle and dropping papers like the Donald. It's a very difficult line to walk and I think Starmer is handling it as well as he can.

Not quite sure what the correlation between the two things are?

However, despite the general reports - he's not working on a cease-fire, it's something 'much bigger'. Coupled with his warning that everyone should evacuate Tehran, it's a bit concerning.

Do I detect an under-current of discord between Trump and the other six G7 members?

There's no need to have a pop at Macron, it's pretty clear from Trump's bizarre request that the 10 million citizens of Tehran evacuate their city and that what he's doing is "far bigger than a ceasefire" is that he is choosing to act alone and claim all the credit.

I think this is his pitch to win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, he is that vain.

None of his foreign policy makes any sense. Iran is Russia's ally, USA under Trump is Russia's ally, yet Trump is threatening Iran? And by giving Netanyahu the green light to do what it wants with impunity the missiles are now landing in Israel, while prospects of a two state solution literally lie in tatters.

Plus his crack about Russia being excluded.

Trumpie now also claiming to be the most bestliest intelligence operative ever, who knows things more betterly than all the national agencies combined do:

From The Guardian:

Donald Trump has dismissed congressional testimony from the National Intelligence Director of the US, Tulsi Gabbard, who told lawmakers in March that US spy agencies did not believe Iran was building a nuclear weapon.

The US president said: "I don't care what she said, I think they were very close to having it."

Whatever happened to “Art of the Deal”?

America handed the nuclear football over to a petulant child last November and I’m more scared right now of Trump’s chaotic and unpredictable narcissist thumb on the button than I am about Putin, Xi and Khamenei put together!

It is a scary thing and all those who voted for this thing should be ashamed.

This plant in Momence, Illinois just 55 miles south of Chicago and about an hour from my home was a place booming with business not that long ago but the issues with both of the Trump Administrations policy on immigration and the ability to find people who will work in this industry has lead to the closing of this plant.

Johnsonville Closes US Meat Plant and Fires Everyone – More Could Follow

When Johnsonville abruptly shut down its Momence, Illinois plant in June 2025, laying off 274 workers with just 15 minutes' notice, outrage erupted online. Many blamed corporate greed or feared economic collapse. But the real story is bigger, and more unsettling.

This wasn’t a one-off blunder. It's part of a sweeping industrial transformation that's been quietly accelerating for years. In 2024 alone, at least 15 meatpacking plants closed, the highest total in a decade.
