Newcastle with Pedro filling the space between Guimares/Tonali and Isak could be rather special.....Newcastle don’t have the same PSR limits as last summer = rinse them TB.
I think we’ll want north of £60m
I don’t want him to leave but it’s looking like his situation is untenable, if we had to lose one of him or Mitoma I know who I’d rather stayed.
Our medical team are busy enough as it is, no thanks. And I've read they'd let Callum Wilson leave. Would be interested![]()
He might and therefore not agree to a move to Saudi Arabia.Do we care about his international career ? take 60m from anyone mug enough to pay it !

because they haven't got anyone like Pedro. They play three out and out CM'ers.
because they haven't got anyone like Pedro.
When they were good they were good, but they had many games where they couldn't break down the oppo.
fair enoughHowe, like many coaches eg Dyche, likes a combative three who'll tackle and closedown for 90+ minutes.
That article mentioned 20% of any profitHere you go:

Watford in line for big sell-on boost if Pedro leaves Brighton
Watford could be in line for a windfall worth more than previously thought if Newcastle United target Joao Pedro leaves Brighton this summer.www.watfordobserver.co.uk
sure Ive seen it confirmed befoe that sell ons are the percentage of the profit , so 20% of the 30mThat article mentioned 20% of any profit
Does that mean 20% of the projected 30M profit if JP sold for 60M per say
Or 20% of the 60M ?
They will have Champions League Money coming during the accounting period so will no doubt be OK on a PSR footing given transfer fee spread over a max of five years etc. So at £60m that will be £12m a season.I think we're resigned to the fact that he'll probably go, so from a squad building perspective we're planning without him.
However, that's reliant on someone meeting the valuation. I reckon we're quite happy if he stays.
If this drags on, it could be that Pedro has to eat a bit of humble pie to get himself in the first team reckoning through pre season.
My take on Newcastle is that they can afford him, but the fee would eat up a huge chunk of their allowable transfer budget, so they are seeing what transpires.
I'd be surprised if Joao Pedro took a Saudi move at this stage. (I mean actual Saudi, not North East England Saudi)
To be fair Gordon has recently lost his status as Newcastle's first choice LW - after his sending off against us in March he started only three games for the club, including one in which he was hooked at HT.I’m guessing Pedro would be the back up for Isak, who gets injuries or to rest Isak with a Euro campaign too.
Did we kinda agree that Pedro didn't like or thrive as a winger? So not taking Gordon's lefty wing slot.
Any noise from the home support would represent an improvement on the current atmosphere at SJP based on our last few visitsFeels like a good fit for Newcastle. Can see 50,000 Geordies reacting very well to a lot of arm waving when things aren't going quite so well.

He gets fans begrudgingly celebrating winning a throw in, like no one else in the business.Feels like a good fit for Newcastle. Can see 50,000 Geordies reacting very well to a lot of arm waving when things aren't going quite so well.
The most overhyped 'atmosphere' after Anfield.Any noise from the home support would represent an improvement on the current atmosphere at SJP based on our last few visits
