Completely agree. And then there was the match at Hampshire (I think) when as Captain he decided not to travel with the team (he lived in Essex) and turned up late. Rightly he was dropped. Not a good role model for the youngsters.
The tv cameras panned to the Sussex bench in that game and there was Bopara messing about, grinning away.
I was so incensed by that I wrote to Farbrace grassing him up.
He left not long after.
I like to think my email played a small part in that outcome.

Bopara was a total waste of wages in that season. Can't remember him having a significant contribution in the T20 campaign.
Didn't even play County games (only contracted for white ball Cricket) Would have been great for the youngsters to have him in that inexperienced County team from 2 or 3 seasons ago,
TBF he often single-handedly held us together in his last season (with his contract drawing to an end).
His form with bat and ball was different class.

Magnificent. If there was an opposite to “ignore” function on here you would be first on my list😇

I'm pretty sure there is an opposite to the ignore function, if you actually want to follow up on that:

It's always seemed a bit "stalkery" to me. :lolol:
