I voted Potter for his absolute blatant dissing of us the fans. However if there were an option for Poyet and Potter equally I would have voted for that...

De Zerbi to a certain extent I can understand...just a bit big for his boots...Poyet and Potter were like 50 million times to big for their boots and their abilities....

Poyet took us from nowhere to the play-offs. He done his job and at the time we adored him.
De Zerbi took us somewhere we'd only ever dreamt off. We cried when he left, even if it was the right thing to do.
Potter was stolen by Chelsea because he was good. But they way he left is another matter.

That’s exactly what he meant. He wanted the club to but VVD, and Barber refused. How different is that to de Zerbi?
Southampton picked up VVD and made the profit on him.

Btw re: the television appearance Paul Barber admitted, the club didn’t know Poyet was going to be on tv as a pundit that evening. Yes, Gus milked it, but it was an error in timing by PB.

I still have positive feelings about Potter and, to a lesser extent, Poyet.

Potter built the foundations of where we are today. He left us when we were on a high, flying in the league, allowing De Zerbi to polish off the project.

Poyet was a flawed individual, but he was a fantastic manager for us at that level. "We fuckin brilliant!".

De Zerbi, on the other hand, the moody Italian was never particularly likeable. He took all the credit for our best ever finish, despite inheriting the fantastic squad that Potter built.

Yes, he qualified us for Europe - but he threw his toys out the pram, just as we made the knockouts, and if he wasn't such an entitled negative prick, we possibly could have gone a lot further in the competition. Our league form went out the window too. Zero respect.

I wouldn’t have wanted any of them NOT to have managed us. I had respect for all them prior to their departures/meltdowns in 2 cases, Judas in the other.

I loved RdZ (ignoring last 3 months), knee slide, crowd surfing, knocking the ball away from Liverpool players, big balls….. proper personality (when things are going well)……. I don’t want a happy manager if we’re losing, but equally I don’t want a dick either which he ended up being.
