Odd that they are picking up three from the same club at once!
I’ve seen it pointed out that last summer Textor did Forest a solid by having Lyon buy Mangala and Niakhate.

Is this the quo in a quid pro quo? To be on the safe side, let’s put on hold any participation in European competition by Textor’s clubs

Maybe a buy two, get a third free offer.
I think you're getting Brazilian footballers confused with the "potato side dish" section at Tesco.

And I'm sure I can't be the only one who can never decide whether to go for onion rings or croquettes.

I fully appreciate that onion rings aren't a potato product.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.
The ones in the crisp section are mainly made of potato starch I believe

"Botafogo owner John Textor has been personally negotiating the sale, as he did with Igor Jesus, who has already signed for Nottingham Forest, and Jai, who is also close to making the same move.

Brighton, though, are ‘very insistent’ on getting Cuiabano and have already seen two bids rejected for him. One was worth €5m plus €2m in bonuses, the second was €3m in bonuses. The Brazilian club value the player at €10-12m."

We should string this out. Keep him busy. It's not like he has anything else to worry about at the moment.

If we can close this one after the club World Cup plus Coppola, Ounahi and Kostoulas I suspect we might be pretty well there for incomings.
Then it becomes all about who is leaving……

I hope not - we still desperately need a RB.

I feel like I've said that every transfer window for about 5 years now though!

It seems to me that both full back positions are our most obvious squad weakness

If we don't get at least one, it says to me at least a couple of the below are true

1 - FH sees Weiffer becoming a right back as a genuine option
2 - Ferdi has recovered. (Which you assume he must have done, though if it's possible to have 9 months out with a toe problem, it must also be possible to have 12 or 15 months out with a toe problem so I don't see this as a certainty)
3 - The Barco loan agreement has a clause which means he's not gone after all
4 - Pervis is staying and FH trusts him to be our first choice for the coming season
5 - FH sees Veltman as fit enough to have one more year at the top level
6 - We've offered Tariq a new deal and he's going to sign it

One of those has already come true but as you say reckon we need 2 and 3 to also come true to be comfortable.
