Going against the grain here, I enjoy Dwayne’s take on players, not sure why he’s being vilified. He’s been proved wrong a few times but haven’t we all?
It is a bit strange. Especially with these new posters that come out of nowhere and are so deeply offended when I go a bit extreme with my analysis.

There's also a misconception that I'm negative about every transfer in when most of the time I'm happy.

It's a bit of banter. Nasty banter yes. But for 2 million a year or whatever he's paid I would stand naked in stocks getting tomatoes and abuse thrown at me for 24 hours straight.
Sounds hilarious!

I'm not even sure if there's such a thing.

There was a podcast recently with Gervais and Bill burr and Bill was saying that he had friendship groups in Boston that just gave each other nasty sh1t all day everyday... Gervais wasn't getting it either. I have some friends like that, deep down we love each other but all we do pretty much every time we see each other is abuse each other and not in a friendly way !!

You're friends with Cashin then, are you? Or 'GASHin', as you would probably (hilariously) call him?

Seriously though if cashin can't handle that then he should probably just find himself a nice 30k a year office job. I'm sorry but hurty words comes with the territory of being a footballer. I won't be deleting any posts for snowflakes.

In that half season with us he probably earned enough to retire on. Despite playing very very badly for 20 minutes. In addition he has a 5 and a half year contract , even if he's on a modest 30k a week epl salary that contract is worth 5.7 MILLION POUNDS.

I’ll give you Locadia, but FFS!! Cashin’s only played two games, give the guy a break.
The thing about the algorithm and the moneyball principles is that it identifies aspects that aren’t visually obvious - if they were then it’d be pointless. Also, it identifies how such less obvious or less spectacular skills can synergise with other strengths in the team.

Although Cashin did nothing in his 20-30 minutes playing time to suggest he’s worth the money, it’s a vanishingly low sample time and the value of the transfer needs to be reassessed after he’s had a few games alongside something akin to our first-choice back 4.

For those that haven’t read it and are a bit geeky with stats etc., the moneyball book is an excellent read. The film is good entertainment but it doesn’t do the science behind it justice.

Putting to one side whether it’s hilarious or not, Does anyone seriously think cashin would be hurt and upset by someone calling him gashin?
Give the bloke some credit . If nothing else he looks like a tough cookie.

I did laugh at Gashin, I'm afraid. While Dwayne is quite often wrong he is quite funny.

sooo .... Kostoulas ... getting announced this week you think?
Hope so. It is a gamble but You can’t doubt the intentions of the club - recruiting top young talent from around the world.
If Pedro goes, we will survive.
What a time to be alive for an Albion fan.
