In preparation for Outbreak next week was watching this, I f***ing hope everyone going to Outbreak sees them because they encapsulate everything great about hardcore music.
Plus a pit callout doesn't go harder than "violence, ruin someone's life".

Steve Conte at the Prince Albert tomorrow night. Former New York Doll, just finished playing guitar on the Michael Monroe tour as well as having a decent solo catalogue, lots like an acoustic show but should be a decent start to the weekend if anyone fancies it.
In other news sadly Cattle Decaptitation have cancelled their European tour which means the Chalk in a couple of weeks is off. Sad news.

Massive Attack at Victoria Park last night was... 'politcally charged' from beginning to end. Unreal visuals and energy.
Liz Fraser, Horace Andy and Mos Def all performed. Lovely.
Great to see Air play live too.
But, man, I'm increasingly intolerant of kids who go to gigs and talk and talk and frigging talk.
I'm sure it's because they don't go to pubs anymore. And, also, loads of cheap tickets on market.
Roll on Glastonbury... and a more music-loving and commited crowd.
Edit: Apparently, tickets for Lido gigs were being sold off for £10. That explains the 'casual' crowd.

Talking of cheap tickets, just picked up 2 tickets for ‘Forever Now’ at Milton Keynes for £15 each ! Kraftwerk, TheThe, Pil, The Damned , The Mondays etc, etc
People on Facebook moaning it cost them 10 x as much…
Tickets way too overpriced these days and bargain hunting the filler sites very profitable

I read tickets for Beyoncé’s tour were being sold cheap to try and sell out the venue. Similar complaints with fans who had pre-sale access paying 10 times someone who rocked up on the day.

Despite already seeing them twice this year, them, Turnstile, Speed, Glassjaw and Drug Church are my must sees at Outbreak London. Hoping to squeeze Superheaven in as well depending on time between sets and getting food & drink later in the day.

Should have got round to posting about it before now, but caught Night 3 of Iron Maiden's 50th Anniversary Tour in Prague last weekend. A superb few days away and a reminder of the community that comes together around certain bands for these big shows abroad, especially at the first po-up Eddie's Dive Bar of the tour the night before - hundreds of boozed up Maiden fans spending the afternoon belting out songs in a sunny beer garden was a great vibe!
Won't spoil any of the setlist for those going to shows coming up (just London for me at the end of the month) but it was superb, and everyone is in for a treat. The Letnany Airport outdoor venue was also a great setup, well organised and a reminder of how I've always enjoyed stadium size shows more in Europe than the UK.

Am yet to see Lankum and very keen to do so. Would rather see them in a dark room though. Also not seen caroline, and they're on my list.
Fair. Saw them in a dark tent at Latitude, and it was very atmospheric (and poorly attended, sadly).
