What we haven't covered - or speculated on - is the internal investigation into what went wrong in Russia.
Will it be the military who are found guilty? Will it be the FSB? They both will be keen to deflect responsibility and blame each other.
Oh, and where is Putin? He has been very quiet. Absent in fact.
Here is Jason Jay Smart...

I have no idea what of the attached is valid!
No engineer, but Shirley weakening the base structure will limit bridge weight capacity more than bits of missing road surface (which can be fixed more easily). The bridge seems VERY solidly built - will take a number of hits to put it out of action.
Trump is such a mug!
It certainly won't help the insurance premiums ! The last few days operations have been brilliant on many levels, the financial cost to Russia is huge and the cost of having to defend far flung airbases and installations in manpower, time and equipment will weaken Russia's ability to press its current ground attacks in Ukraine. It now seems like Ukraine can strike where it likes and that Russia has NO intelligence assets in place in Ukraine to detect these operations..... marvellous news !No engineer, but Shirley weakening the base structure will limit bridge weight capacity more than bits of missing road surface (which can be fixed more easily).
I have a sneaky feeling this operation isn't over yet?
Loosen up the base before missiles?

Wow that was quick...and I thought it would be the expert on airfield defense, General Balcon-ovsky.This is a good start. But is one scapegoat ever enough?
I don't want to get ahead of events, but I'm reminded of Jonathan Fink, who recently speculated, after several arrests but before Russia lost 30% of its fleet of strategic bombers, that this might actually be the beginning of a Stalin style purge.
