I think they were my favourites, along with the trad Hammersmith. But the whole day is great because you get to see the different styles and traditions of Morris. The Madder Hill Molly from Carshalton, for example dance an East Anglian style. It was also interesting talking to some of the dancers about their attitude to mixed gender sides.

I did feel Morrised-out after 4 hours of watching the., though.

We went to see Nick Mohammed / Mr Swallow ar the Theatre Royal tonight. (Absolutely excellent, BTW - go if you get the chance)

Another comedian, Rose Johnson, did a 20-minute bit in the middle. At one point, she asked, "Is Brighton always full of Morris dancers?'

Do you know much about this, times and venues etc? I can’t seem to find much out online.

I think of Morris Dancers the same way as Sewage workers. I'm pleased someone does it, but I absolutely do not want to get involved.
