It's all opinions . . . . And your first sentence is testicolos grande in mine.

given everything = tries too hard to do it alone = selfish = not a team player. That's been this seasons progression.

he has been brilliant on many occasions, but in the last 6 months has got a bit too cocky, and a liability, finally getting sent off . . .

as for the NDP . . . . . I have a copy, with Tonys wax seal on the bottom corner. You can stick it in your pipe and smoke it if you like.
I don't think anyone could have watched his performance away at Newcastle in the cup and think that Pedro is anything other than one of the most hardworking team players at the club

I don't think anyone could have watched his performance away at Brentford and not have been utterly dismayed. The complete opposite of Newcastle away. Loose..ill disciplined...selfish...disinterested. Two games...two different players.

He has been tapped up. Easily replaced, except for the penalty guarantee.

Spoilt sulking diver, who holds onto the ball too long & slows down play. Hope he goes (to chelsea)

Pedro is by far and away the most replaceable asset we own (proven in the OPs post), and you could argue we've already lined up a direct replacement in Georginio.

I'll always love Joao for the MOMENTS, but I think he has a lot to learn in terms of his all round game. A 34yo Danny Welbeck has equalled his goal tally for this season and that's without taking penalties.

Yeah, absolutely. That's why I subscribe to the 'something has happened off the pitch' theory, the nature of which I hope he can sort out.

And when he learns it? Wow he will be one of the top 50 players in the game.

That wouldn't be very replaceable

He’s scored ten goals this season, that speaks for itself. If he goes, we’re going to have to compensate for that from somewhere. That’s really all there is to it
And those goals came in only 23 league appearances (+ 4 as sub). Add in his 6 assists and he is a top player for us. Unbelievable that so many are prepared to throw him under the bus.

tend to agree he’s been tapped up but not easily replaced as we will struggle to find a player with such potential for the money we paid out. not happy with his temperament and if we can make a good profit I am hopeful, at some stage, we cold afford a proven player in his position without baggage.

I don’t think people are throwing him under the bus, we are just being honest on the reality of his contribution. He scored five goals from open play only one of which he has scored since November and that was against Southampton.

He’s a good player, but those numbers are not irreplaceable.

If you'd been tapped up why would you get into a training pitch fight with a team mate?
Unless the player was dicking about a la Trossard, and JPV objected to it.
Still seeing an enormous return in speculation from a small investment of fact, on this thread.

I was going to say, every time I watch him he’s putting himself absolutely in the thick of things. He’s often the trigger point for our press, and often the out ball when we’re struggling to keep hold of it.

I don’t personally see him as a 9 and I don’t personally think he’s looked comfortable there for much of the season, but he’s tried as hard as anyone in most of the games I’ve seen.
I agree with you about the #9 thing. Looks best in the left side attacker role to me. So ironically would stand to benefit if Mitoma leaves

I'm weirdly ambivalent about Joao Pedro. Over a few short weeks he's gone from my favourite player to one that I care very little about and that I wont particularly miss. I do feel that he will smash it if he gets an opportunity with one of the big boys. Can't fault his effort but his play acting and temperament could do with a bit of work.
