Howell was selected, yes. I have no idea if he has stayed with Albion this week or whether he joined up with his England colleagues late. I guess we'll find out tomorrow when England face Italy.

With the chance of Europe I’d expect the bench to be strong as well. If we’re losing and need to turn it around bringing the kids on isn’t the best option.

This. This game is the definition of a ‘must win’ (unlike those in September people will claim are ‘must win’ games ) even if the outcome ultimately proves to be out of our hands. Fab isn’t going to **** about with the lineup. Strongest available team/bench.

I believe that clubs can reject call ups if they are not in the international window.

Have you looked at what’s needed for Chelsea to finish 7th? Is it really beyond the realms of possibility that Forest will beat them and Villa will somehow manage to avoid defeat against United?!
