I do wonder how much desire Milner must have now to get back fit? He must know it's unlikely we will extend him. He's not exactly thrown himself into Sussex either, still weekly commutes (by helicopter) from his family home up north to his rental down here, has not moved his family down.
A lot, I'm 100% sure he wants to be the player with the most PL appearances ever and then he needs to get fit soon.

Also, he's human so likely to generally prefer not being injured.

You are questioning Milner's desire. Takes all sorts.

At his age and with his family settled up North I think that is unfair. Many people in other industries who have short contracts do the same (without the Helicopter) as the longer term impact on the family, especially kids education, is a bigger concern to them.

Didn’t he arrive here with the reputation of being the fittest player in the football league?

The Brighton effect soon kicked in :lolol:

Not sure he has had many rivals here as the most consistent sick note in decades.

In fairness it seems he remains very valued by the club behind the scenes

The one that has blighted Welbeck and tanked his hitherto uninterrupted appearance record?
