Nah this is classic football PR. Club restoring a bit of value by ‘saying’ we want him. He’s off.
Also stops his PR team claiming we are bullying him and forcing him out of the club. We are genius at this type of communication

The fact that it says next season as well indicates it is really bad and Pedro is effectively on strike.

I’m so pleased to see Fab has attached a valuation for us. Makes it much easier for everyone at BHA. Maybe Fab could attach some bonuses in his next tweet concerning the matter.

I don’t think he’s definitely off.

We might be more open to selling him, but I’m sure we’re also planning to reintegrate him with the group in case the right offer doesn’t come in…
I think so.

I reckon the club are paying a bit of a penalty for letting Trossard go cheap after he copped a strop. The precedent is set.

We need to play hardball with someone to keep the next badly advised starlet in line. At the very least we should refuse some bids for him to concentrate some minds

That was contractural, if I remember rightly he was close to the end. Best deal when he put us in a bad situation.

All summer , most of the squad - purely on basis there's some random X post saying "X have bidded for..." or because someone will give a funny look after Spurs next week or well, why not ? - will get the NSC verdict "HE"S OFF" . Its a time honoured tradition from now and until the end of the window.
I saw someone yesterday analysing a photo of Mitoma utterly convinced he had a tear in his eye - hence "HE"S OFF".
A tear in one's eye is a bit different to having decked the player of the year. JP is off.

Classic agent/player playbook to facilitate a move. His agents will be banking on the club/fans turning on him to increase the likelihood of bids being accepted. Club’s response has been smart and his contract duration gives us a strong hand.

Which is why it's best not to turn. If he's in the squad on Sunday, OK doubtful, give the bloke a clap.

It might hurt, but you're giving Tony a stronger hand to play with

Club would want £70M minimum > starting price I would think.

– Decent length of contract left
– 23 years old / prime
– Proven PL scorer
– European pedigree too
– Exceptional penalty taker
– Goals, assists and all-round game
– Brazil No.9
– General match-winning box office appeal

All being said, I hope he sorts his head out, stays and gets back to the RDZ era form + performance... because he was stellar.

The one thing we can be sure of with Tony is that he is incredibly unlikely to budge on his valuation of a player, and that wont change because of a training ground argument that in a weeks time will be long forgotten by those involved. If Tony wants £70m+ for Pedro then either he gets it, or the player stays. Simple. If Chelsea are thinking a cut price deal is possible then they'll be very much mistaken.

I think Chelsea, of all clubs, know this!!

Sounds like he may have been told to stay away and get his head right, much like Caicedo in the January window that Arsenal tried to prise him off us? Probably not back in contention until next season and as we know everyone has a price, if someone offers it he will be off. If not he’ll be back in the squad pre season. JP holds very few cards with 3 years left on his contract.
